Section 01
Our Commitment
Nestled Roofing is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone — including people with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. We believe every homeowner deserves equal access to our services.
We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our website to ensure we provide an equal experience for all users. We take accessibility seriously and see it as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time task.
This statement was prepared on June 26, 2026, and reflects the current state of our website at nestledroofing.com.
Section 02
Conformance Status
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.
Our current conformance status is partially conformant. This means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard, and we are actively working to address any gaps.
Section 03
Measures We've Taken
Nestled Roofing takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of our website:
- Accessibility is considered at every stage of design and development
- We include accessibility requirements in our development process
- We test pages using keyboard-only navigation
- We verify color contrast ratios meet WCAG AA standards
- We use semantic HTML elements to communicate document structure to assistive technologies
- We perform regular reviews of our content and markup for accessibility issues
Section 04
Accessibility Features
The following features are currently implemented on our website:
Skip Navigation Link
A "Skip to main content" link appears at the top of every page, allowing keyboard and screen reader users to bypass the navigation bar and jump directly to the main content.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements — including navigation links, buttons, and form fields — are fully operable using a keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible and clearly styled.
Semantic HTML Structure
Pages use proper semantic HTML5 elements including <header>, <main>, <nav>, <section>, <article>, and <footer> to communicate page structure to assistive technologies.
Heading Hierarchy
A logical, sequential heading order (h1 → h2 → h3) is maintained throughout all pages, allowing screen reader users to navigate and understand the document outline.
Descriptive Alt Text
All meaningful images have descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes (alt="") so screen readers skip them without interrupting the reading flow.
ARIA Labels & Roles
ARIA labels, roles, and live regions are used throughout the site to provide context that is not conveyed visually. This includes navigation landmarks, form labels, and dynamic content announcements.
Color Contrast
Text and interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, in both light and dark modes.
Reduced Motion Support
Animations and transitions respect the prefers-reduced-motion CSS media query. Users who prefer reduced motion will see a simplified experience without distracting animations.
Form Accessibility
All form fields have associated <label> elements, required fields are clearly indicated, and error messages are announced to screen readers using ARIA live regions.
Responsive Design
The website is fully responsive and adapts to all screen sizes and zoom levels, including users who need to zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Section 05

Section 06
Known Limitations
While we strive to ensure the highest level of accessibility, there may be some limitations. The following areas are known and are actively being worked on:
- Background video: The hero section video is decorative and has been marked appropriately, but some screen readers may still detect it. The video has no audio and does not convey information required to understand the page.
- Third-party content: Some third-party tools and services linked from our site may not be fully accessible. We cannot control the accessibility of external websites.
If you experience a barrier not listed here, please let us know using the contact information in Section 08.
Section 07
Assessment Approach
Nestled Roofing assesses the accessibility of this website through the following approaches:
- Self-evaluation: Our development team regularly reviews pages for accessibility issues using manual testing (keyboard navigation, screen reader testing) and automated tools.
- Automated auditing: We use Google Lighthouse and other browser-based accessibility audit tools to identify and resolve common accessibility issues.
- User feedback: We actively encourage users to report accessibility barriers they encounter, and we prioritize fixing them promptly.
